Just a few more days...

Well, I have been a horrible blogger this pregnancy! But time has flown by! I am now 38 weeks! We found out last week that our little man, Mason Phillip, is breeched so I will be having a c-section on November 8th. It feels good to have a date set but I am still praying he might turn. Although at this point, the changes are slim. I have been trying some home remedies of rocking on all 4s :) We will get another ultrasound this Thursday to see if there is a chance he turned so cross your fingers! He is running out of room in my belly! I still love feeling him move around-that feeling never gets old. And he ALWAYS has the hiccups! Such a cool feeling! I had my last baby shower last weekend and I think the nursery is finally all set and ready to go! Such a scary & exciting time but we can't wait to meet this little miracle. Hopefully, I can squeeze one more post in before his birthday!

Time is flying.....

Well, I will be 28 weeks on Friday! This pregnancy has flown by! We will be in the third trimester then! Baby Boy Smith (still trying to decide on a name!) is moving around like crazy and I absolutely love it! It is so amazing to see him move around my belly and he is now starting to hiccup a lot which just makes me smile. I feel huge but know I still have a looong way to go! Michael built him a bookshelf this weekend but that's about all we have so far for his nursery! At least his books are put away :) We are just about done registering which was fun and exhausting at the same time. What an experience! My baby showers are marked down and I cannot wait to share my belly with family and friends! Michael and I just got back from St. Kitts with his family so I have attached a few pics. What a beautiful place and it was so relaxing! My goal is to keep blogging with belly pics :)

Baby Makes Three!

It sure has been a while since I have blogged! Lots of things have happened this last few months so I will recap. Michael and I are expecting a baby boy this November! 11-11-11 to be exact! We found out this week what our little bundle of joy is going to be! I am so excited...not sure what to do with a boy! Now the fun planning of nurseries, names and clothes begins! This time has flown by and I can't believe I am already 21 weeks along! I remember being thrilled at 14 weeks and each week is just goes faster and faster! November used to seem so far away!

Michael is officially done with residency and is a 2nd year intern. Again-time has flown by! He will now be strictly ortho for the next 4 years...1 year down. He is still loving every minute of it....and I love those times when I actually get to see him :)

I also became an aunt on June 21st to my nephew, Joseph Paul-son to Jason and Lauren! He was born about 5 weeks early so he is still in the NICU but we hope he gets to come home soon. He is absolutely precious and now he and Baby Boy Smith can play together!

My goal is to continue to post throughout the pregnancy but we will see how that goes!

Happy Fourth of July!

All we do is win win win!

Michael, Sue (mother-in-law) and I had the amazing opportunity to travel to Glendale to watch our Auburn Tigers beat Oregon! We arrived in Phoenix Friday night and went straight to sleep to rest up for the big weekend! We went to Sedona Saturday which was absolutely beautiful! There were Auburn fans EVERYWHERE! It felt like gameday on the Plains! Sue's friend from London, Yvonne, came from LA to Phoenix and stayed the weekend with us. Yvonne is a fellow AU graduate too! On Sunday we drove to Scottsdale for the AU Pep Rally and once again, it felt like gameday! By the time Monday night arrived, I felt like I had been in Auburn all weekend! We tailgated Monday with Michael's little brother Andrew and his girlfriend Kaitlyn. The game was amazing! WDE! The night before, Michael received a call from StubHub asking us if we would like a complimentary upgrade...easy answer..YES! The upgrade brought us from the nosebleed to 45 yd line row 4....the catch: in the MIDDLE of Duck Country! But it was so cool to be so close to the field...even if we were behind Oregon's bench :) The Duck fans were great and it was just such an exciting game for both teams! Below are a few pictures from the amazing weekend! We also ran into a few friends from home which just made the weekend so much better!! WAR EAGLE!

Already 2011

Well...it's been a long time since I posted so here goes these past 4 months! Michael and I bought our first home and we are loving being homeowners! Never a dull moment! I will be sure to upload pictures soon! Michael is busy in the hospitals learning how to be a surgeon. He is on a new rotation each month so that is exciting for both of us. I am still working in HR and really enjoying a different industry. Our fall was filled with house projects and lucky me...AUBURN FOOTBALL GAMES! I went with friends to Auburn for the UGA game (didn't go to the game)...but just to be there was awesome! My friends and I then went to the SEC Championship game here in Atlanta...WDE! Finally-to end the perfect season-Michael, myself and his mother are heading to Arizona Friday for the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME! I am so excited!
Another perk of moving back South is being so close to family and friends. We were so blessed to see both sides of our families over the holidays. We spent a low key New Years Eve with new friends here in Atlanta....so HAPPY NEW YEAR!

A recap of 2010:
Match Day in March
Michael joining the Catholic Faith in April
Singapore/Thailand in April
Jason & Laurens Wedding in April
Harvard Med School Graduation in May
Saying good-bye to Boston and hello to Atlanta
Starting a new job in July (both Michael and me!)
Buying a house in August!
Moving in our house in October
Feeling so blessed.....all year!

Whew! I am so excited to see what 2011 has in store for us! I can't imagine a bigger year! But we'll see..... ;)

We are home owners!!

It's official! We closed on our house yesterday! We are officially homeowners! It was a memorable day! The closing went great and it feels so good to have the keys now! Attached are some pictures of the house! Some TLC is needed and we can't wait to start working on it!

Other news with the Smiths-I'm still working and really enjoying my job. Michael completed his first solo surgery last weekend and did it so well! He placed a nail through a broken femur (insert some medical terms) I am such a proud wife...the x-rays are on our fridge!

All visitors are welcome to our new home!

Welcome Home!

Finally settled in...with a job!

Michael and I feel so blessed that I finally got a job! I know it's only been a few weeks, but it's so nice to feel finally settled in. We are still house hunting and me having a job makes things a bit easier. I will continue to work in HR for a great financial company outside of Atlanta. I start Monday so my days of relaxing are limited! I feel so blessed and we are very excited about our new stages in our lives.
